I am a lampwork artist who makes glass beads. I work in my studio, a converted building, here on our farm in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. We live about a half hour south of Portland, Oregon. I sell my beads at shows and online. See below for links to my online sales.  If you have questions or would like to discuss a special order please feel free to  CONTACT ME.

Thank you for visiting my website.

             October 2011 UPDATE
As I write this, the sky is overcast and it's misting outside. I've just come inside from helping my husband move everything out of his machine shed. In a couple weeks he and some friends will be pouring a concrete floor in the building. I noticed that the air is beginning to smell like fall. It has a rich vegetative scent. With the rain we’ve had, our lawn and the grass in the pastures is greening up again.

Life has been really busy lately. In case you happened to have checked, I was two months behind on my updates here. The summer was fun but many things pulled me away from my studio. And then September arrived. I organized a huge birthday party for my husband and, six days before the party, I rescued a kitten that I found crying in a culvert on my morning walk. He's a loving, orange-striped kitten but he was severely underweight, sick with upper respiratory illness, an eye infection, and fleas. I took him to the vet, of course. He tested negative for FLV, which is good news, but over time I've come to realize that he had a run-in with a car or a cow's hoof or something that has done permanent damage to his nasal cavity. He had a nose bleed for a week or more. He still breathes through his nose as though it is still stuffed up. He can't seem to smell anything, so getting him to eat has been a challenge. He's finally eating canned food and he's gaining weight. Neither my husband nor my 1 year old cat want him around so I have him in a large dog carrier in the basement and I bring him up to the kitchen (with the doors closed) to run and play a few times a day. I need to find a good home for him soon! Between the kitten, who I call "Mouse" because of a You Tube video and because he squeaks a lot, and all the other things going on in my life, my creative time has been very limited. My Etsy listings have been few and far between and I am way behind in preparing for the ORBS Bead Bazaar, which takes place November 5th and 6th. I've decided October is going to be "No-tober" or “Oct-No-ber”. I have a special order for 5-10 pairs of earring beads and I have to prepare for the show. The studio has to be my focus this month.

As we begin this fall season, I hope your life is calmer than mine. I also hope you take time for creativity.
